Project Update: 81st Street

Posted on July 30, 2018

81st Street Apartments

In May 2016 CGI purchased two vacant townhouses in anticipation of one of the most highly desired luxury condo buildings on the upper east side of Manhattan. Right away we demolished the dated townhomes and began ground-up development. The new residence features six stories, with one 1,990 – 2,400 sqf residential unit on each floor. The majority of the offerings are 3 bed/3bath, except for Unit 1, which is a 2 bed/3 bath unit. Residents will get to and from their homes by use of a private elevator. The first level has a basement and private outdoor backyard and the 5th and 6th units will have private access to the scenic roof deck.

To date, construction is coming along really well and scheduled to be complete within the next few months. The marketing and sales strategy plan are both in place with the goal of selling units immediately after completion. All scaffolding around the building and the sidewalk bridge has been removed. All kitchens, floors and tile in units 2-6 have been installed and the first floor and basement are now being finalized.
