Mother’s Day Hotel Brunches

Posted on April 23, 2019

Brunch is a Mother’s Day tradition and if you want to do it right you’ll want to find a brunch that’s as great as your mom. We’ve scoured the Los Angeles city listings and below we share our favorites.

1 Pico (Shutters on the Beach)
1 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica
310-587-1717
Brunch is from 10am – 4pm

As one of Southern California’s premier beachfront dining locations, this bright and cheery space is perfect for a brunch followed by a walk on the beach. Start this Mother’s Day with an unbeatable view and a complimentary bellini or mimosa, Mom’s choice. The menu is three-course prix-fixe and treats mom to dishes like grilled-asparagus Benedict; filet mignon and eggs with salsa verde; smoked salmon with citrus dressing; lobster and rock shrimp rigate in vodka sauce; and halva pot de crème with orange blossom syrup.

Millennium Biltmore
506 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles

The iconic landmark hotel offers two distinct Mother’s Day celebrations. The annual Champagne Brunch buffet from 11a – 3p is in the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom. Pricing is $69 per person including free-flowing champagne, half-price for children (ages 5-11) and free for kids age 4 and under. Note that reservations are required. If you already have morning plans consider Traditional Afternoon Tea. Itis served in the famed Rendezvous Court from 2 – 5pm. Mom and guests will be treated to an assortment of sandwiches, scones and pastries with a pot of fine-blended custom tea. Pricing for the Sunday Afternoon Tea is $55 per person.

Legendary French chef after whom the oh-so-classy restaurant is named has made culinary history and has a reputation as fine as his cuisine. This year’s decadent brunch includes a chilled shellfish platter inclusive of Kumamoto oysters, wild Gulf shrimp, Maine lobster, king crab and littleneck clams. Mom and guests will also be treated to a three-course meal featuring options like spring pea soup, roasted organic chicken, wood-grilled Pacific snapper and a lychee-and-rhubarb trifle with almond crumble.
