Cane Island
Investment Overview
In December 2017, CGI+ purchased Cane Island, a 166-unit residential community located in the Kissimmee neighborhood of Orlando.
The community was originally built in 2007, and consists of 260 units in nine buildings built around a large man-made lake on nearly 16 acres. Upon completion, the developer sold 94 of the units as condominiums and converted the remaining 166 to rentals in order to operate them as an apartment community.
The property is well located near the major attractions in the area including Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and others. The immediate neighborhood has also seen strong economic growth with a new Dollar Tree & Aldi store recently built at the entrance to the property as well as a new 2,000-home community under development by Lennar just two miles away. The property was sold Q4 2021 for $43.5M
