Woman In Red Coat Luxury Holiday Shopping

The holidays are nearly upon us and, soon after, a new decade. Between now and the onset of 2020, one thing is certain in the United States—beginning the day after Thanksgiving (and in more and more cases on Thanksgiving Day), Americans will start shopping.

The holiday season often accounts for 30% of annual sales for some retailers, and although most of those sales are online, shoppers are still heading to stores are looking for the most luxurious places to find gifts for loved ones.

If you’re heading out of state, the most luxe shopping experiences can be found in Dubai and Monte-Carlo. Both locations offer premium shopping destinations located within some of the most incredible hotels in the world.

If you’re in the U.S., luxury shopping often means Los Angeles or New York. And, of course, these locations are synonymous with the word luxury. Madison Avenue, 5th Avenue and Rodeo Drive are home to some of the most amazing stores in the world.

But did you know that Lexington, Charleston and Fort Worth also are known for their luxury shopping? If not, and you’re looking for a new destination this holiday season, it might be worth a trip to see what treasures await you.

And in coming years we plan to add our mixed-use La Brea project to our list of the best holiday luxury shopping destinations in Los Angeles.

So here’s to you, your family, your health and the new decade. May you find both the perfect gift and the perfect moments with all of your loved ones.

Inflation and the Fed’s response, as well as trends that emerged from the pandemic, have clearly had an impact on the industry across all of the sectors. Besides the effect of, say, ongoing remote work on the beleaguered office asset class or the slowing pace of rent increases in multifamily, these executives have also had to navigate an increasingly difficult capital markets environment. I have some bad news for this group: the near-term future doesn’t look any easier. Enter our selection of Best Bosses this year. This year’s picks were made at least in part based on their resiliency and ability to position their companies for future growth, whenever that might occur. We are confident these strengths will see them through what could be choppy waters ahead.
