LA’s New Golden Age

Posted on October 25, 2019

The Golden Age of Hollywood may be over, but the LA landscape where the most quintessential Golden Age happenings took place is as alive and vibrant as ever. This area is now called Koreatown or K-Town, an affectionate moniker given by LA natives.

Widely known as one of LA’s most exciting neighborhoods, there is no shortage of things to do in K-Town. Designer brands have chosen Koreatown as their location of choice filling indoor and outdoor shopping plazas with the most discerning options. Whether you’re looking for private shopping or want to be in the throes of a bustling crowd, you’ll undoubtedly find what you’re looking for here.

If you’re looking for a gourmet restaurant or wine bar, you won’t have to look far. Celebrity chefs are flocking to the area with trendy upscale new eateries appearing monthly, such as the POT Lobby Bar by Roy Choi. Combine these hotspots with K-Town’s vibrant nightlife and you’ll have a list of evening plans that may be daunting for even the seasoned restaurant-goer to make their way through.

The lifestyle choices and close proximity to major job ports, like Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Mid-Wilshire and more, are part of what make the Koreatown market strong and getting stronger.

Tech giants such as Netflix and Google are coming into the area at a pace not seen before.  Rental prices are surging and apartments are being leased while they are still in development.  This trend has the added benefit of providing the neighborhood with high-quality jobs with companies that will put capital into the local economy.

Our latest project, Fedora, will be the perfect addition to this incredible community. We are thrilled with the progress and looking forward to seeing what’s to come. For more information about investment opportunities, please contact Gregory Khodora.

Best Bosses | Here are Real Estate Forum’s picks for Best Bosses in 2023.

The last year has not been easy for the head of a commercial real estate company. Inflation and the Fed’s response, as well as trends that emerged from the pandemic, have clearly had an impact on the industry across all of the sectors. Besides the effect of, say, ongoing remote work on the beleaguered office asset class or the slowing pace of rent increases in multifamily, these executives have also had to navigate an increasingly difficult capital markets environment. I have some bad news for this group: the near-term future doesn’t look any easier. Enter our selection of Best Bosses this year. This year’s picks were made at least in part based on their resiliency and ability to position their companies for future growth, whenever that might occur. We are confident these strengths will see them through what could be choppy waters ahead.
