Koreatown: LA’s hottest neighborhood for development

ktown

It’s no surprise in our current economic climate that up-and-coming neighborhoods are all the rage. Koreatown has been voted the hottest place to develop and live in Los Angeles by Curbed LA and our development strategy in 2017 has been parallel to that thinking.

Koreatown is LA’s newest frontier for innovators, entrepreneurs and artists, located at the heart of a cultural mashup between Hollywood and DTLA. The city’s trendiest coffee shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and bars are all within reach. And, CGI’s properties are at the center of the action, surrounded by an energetic and diverse community where fresh ideas spark and new connections form.

Check out where CGI is in Koreatown and read the full article published by Curbed LA below.

Our 60-unit luxury building, offering coveted residential hotel living, allows residents to connect, work and kick back in one of LA’s hippest and culturally rich locales. Designed with natural woods, neutral colors and a clean, luxurious feel, the building is truly the nicest place in Koreatown to call home.. https://cgiplus.com/project/kodo/

Mariposa

Mariposa

259 S. Mariposa Ave, Los Angeles

The lot was purchased in 2015 and we broke ground in the beginning of 2017. At the end of 2019, Mariposa will be a mixed-use multifamily residential and retail establishment in the heart of Koreatown. https://cgiplus.com/project/mariposa/

Fedora

Fedora Project

826 – 840 S. Mariposa Ave & 849 S. Fedora St, Los Angeles, CA

Our 2017 acquisition of adjoining lots was the start of the Fedora Project. Fedora will be around 180-residential units atop the assemblage of six lots, surrounded by bustling shops, restaurants and creative nightlife. At the corner of Mariposa and Fedora, this property will bring unprecedented value to Koreatown. Expected completion is in the end of 2019. https://cgiplus.com/project/fedora-project/

Southeast Market Report

The commercial real estate market is heavily influenced by the state of the overall economy. During periods of economic growth, demand for commercial real estate typically increases, which can drive up prices and lead to new construction. Conversely, during economic downturns, demand for commercial real estate tends to decrease, which can lead to falling prices and a slowdown in new construction.
