Step back in time when fashion was full of fringe, feathers and shiny embellishments. This unforgettable New Year’s Eve Party is hosted by KCRW and they throw out all the stops. With theatrical burlesque, live jazz ensembles, a premium open bar featuring champagne & specialty cocktails and LA’s own GOLDROOM headlining the main stage, you won’t want to miss Prohibition NYE. Be sure to stay for the midnight 60-foot ball-drop celebration.

Demimonde Speakeasy – New Years Eve 2018

Dances of vice

In 19th Century France and across other major industrialized countries, many women who threw caution to the wind and refused to follow the rules, like Prohibition and curfew, were grouped together and referred to as “Demimonde”. Dances of Vice is a New York nightlife extravaganza, a series of highly-stylized and themed events created by Shien Lee. The New Year’s Eve event in New York City offers an illicit evening of pleasure and hedonism in a 4-story speakeasy.

New Year Eve in Times Square

times square

New Year’s Eve at the center of New York City is so much more than just a local tradition: it’s a global celebration. People come from over 100 different countries for this year-end experience, which has been running since 1907 and is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This year, the event starts at 6 p.m. with performances on two stages, but street goers will need to get there by 2:00p.m. to secure a spot. This is why we recommend getting a climate-controlled seat at Novotel, where they guarantee a view of the hourly pyrotechnic bursts from Times Square and the iconic ball drop at a minute to midnight. Novotel, an upscale hotel, has turned its event space into a memorable event this New Year’s eve. The elegant venue offers unmatched ambiance and energy. Entertainment features aerial acrobatics performers with a Cirque Du Soleil-inspired show and famous DJ Pollux Star makes the dance floor spin right in the heart of Times Square.

Grand Park New Years Eve

Grand park

Grand Park in Los Angeles is well-known for its food truck gatherings, lunchtime yoga sessions and summertime concerts. But, it’s also notorious for its family friendly New Year’s Eve bash. While only in its fourth year, this has become a Hollywood favorite. Every inch of the three-block greenspace will be decked out in local flare and culture. A projected photo booth, live music and a DJ dance floor are just some of what you can expect. Experience the new interactive countdown and a 3-D digital video mapping on two sides of City Hall.

Best Bosses | Here are Real Estate Forum’s picks for Best Bosses in 2023.

The last year has not been easy for the head of a commercial real estate company. Inflation and the Fed’s response, as well as trends that emerged from the pandemic, have clearly had an impact on the industry across all of the sectors. Besides the effect of, say, ongoing remote work on the beleaguered office asset class or the slowing pace of rent increases in multifamily, these executives have also had to navigate an increasingly difficult capital markets environment. I have some bad news for this group: the near-term future doesn’t look any easier. Enter our selection of Best Bosses this year. This year’s picks were made at least in part based on their resiliency and ability to position their companies for future growth, whenever that might occur. We are confident these strengths will see them through what could be choppy waters ahead.
