Mother’s Day Hotel Brunches

Brunch is a Mother’s Day tradition and if you want to do it right you’ll want to find a brunch that’s as great as your mom. We’ve scoured the Los Angeles city listings and below we share our favorites.

As one of Southern California’s premier beachfront dining locations, this bright and cheery space is perfect for a brunch followed by a walk on the beach. Start this Mother’s Day with an unbeatable view and a complimentary bellini or mimosa, Mom’s choice. The menu is three-course prix-fixe and treats mom to dishes like grilled-asparagus Benedict; filet mignon and eggs with salsa verde; smoked salmon with citrus dressing; lobster and rock shrimp rigate in vodka sauce; and halva pot de crème with orange blossom syrup.

The iconic landmark hotel offers two distinct Mother’s Day celebrations. The annual Champagne Brunch buffet from 11a – 3p is in the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom. Highlights include breakfast stations, a chilled antipasti station, salad station, seafood selections, carving stations and rows of chafers. You must check out the gourmet dessert display. Pricing is $69 per person including free-flowing champagne, half-price for children (ages 5-11) and free for kids age 4 and under. Note that reservations are required. If you already have morning plans consider Traditional Afternoon Tea. Itis served in the famed Rendezvous Court from 2 – 5pm. Mom and guests will be treated to an assortment of sandwiches, scones and pastries with a pot of fine-blended custom tea. Pricing for the Sunday Afternoon Tea is $55 per person.

Legendary French chef after whom the oh-so-classy restaurant is named has made culinary history and has a reputation as fine as his cuisine. This year’s decadent brunch includes a chilled shellfish platter inclusive of Kumamoto oysters, wild Gulf shrimp, Maine lobster, king crab and littleneck clams. Mom and guests will also be treated to a three-course meal featuring options like spring pea soup, roasted organic chicken, wood-grilled Pacific snapper and a lychee-and-rhubarb trifle with almond crumble. This culinary experience comes with a price tag of $155 per person.
